Man Cheong Metals Company was founded by Mr. Li Chan Lam in 1959 as a small hardware shop situated in Yuen Long, Hong Kong. As Mr. Li Chan Lam decided to retire in 1967, his son, Mr. Li Tai Chor has taken up his position to lead the business until today. The company has grown steadily along with time, and in 1995, the company was relocated to its first large scale warehouse, at approximately 30,000 sq ft. and officially renamed to Man Cheong Metals and Building Materials Company limited.

Man Cheong has seen rapid expansion over the last 15 years. Currently, with over 120,000 sq ft of warehouse storage, Man Cheong has become one of the most established suppliers of building materials and hardware products in Hong Kong. Its wide-ranging inventory has become an ideal one-stop location for many local suppliers.

The company sources world-renown brand names from all over the world, and is the sole distributor for major industrial brands in Hong Kong, such as Metabo Power Tools, Stabila tools, Wattyl Kill Rust Paint, Dimensions Plastic Lattice and many others. Over the years, the company has been an important supplier to countless number of construction projects in Hong Kong. It has been involved in major projects like the Hong Kong International Airport and Disneyland Hong Kong and with over 50 years of dedicated service and experience to the field, Man Cheong has built very solid relationships and developed a respected reputation for its standard of excellence.
